The Department of Education has introduced a new way to track your child’s bus ride to and from school. Below you will find information to which we hope will make this process as easy as can be.
To track your child on their bus, you will need to download the NYC School Bus App. However, before you can access this app, you will need to complete a few steps.
STEP 1: Get started by setting up a NYCSA account
Your NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) is your gateway to support and track your children’s progress—grades, attendance, and now transportation. For CA’s purpose you will only be looking at transportation.
STEP 2: GO TO https://www.schools.nyc.gov/learning/student-journey/nyc-schools-account/nycsa-account-set-up-guide-for-parents
STEP 3: Follow the directions to CREATE AN ACCOUNT
STEP 4: Enter your name, cell phone number, and email, then click the “Validate Email” button.
STEP 5: Check your email for a message from NYCSA@schools.nyc.gov for the 6-digit code.
STEP 6: Enter the code into the “Email Verification Number” box. Then click “Submit”.
STEP 7: Create a password following the guidelines.
STEP 8: Select three security questions and provide answers. Be sure to write your Password and Answers to the Security Questions down and secure them in a familiar place.
STEP 9: Tim will send you your child’s Student ID # (which for our students is NOT our child’s OSIS) and n Account Creation Code. If you have any issue, please contact Tim at tmeadows@childrensacademynyc.org
STEP 10: Once you fill in the information and see Success! Download the NYC School Bus App and enter the login credentials you just created. You can find this on the QR code below and from this URL. https://nyc-schools.onelink.me/bo0I/i3i9m8tm
